Mic Audio

“I am a writer. I'm always gonna test my imagination. Being myself within the process. With no intentions to offend or abuse the ability to paint a picture. Or tell a tale. Practice makes Perfect. This shit is just a part of me like an organ now… I once walked on the surface of the Sun, to find inspiration to write a rhyme. How far will you go to write?”

ABOUT THE ARTIST

MIC AUDIO

Mic Audio was born and raised in Chicago until the age of 15 where he then relocated to Detroit.

It was there, in Michigan, where Mic started to write lyrics and pursue a career in hip-hop. All throughout highschool he developed his craft with help and input from friends and older peers.

By his early 20s Mic had graduated from doing local shows to touring the States with his group “Rhyme Asylum” (who many claimed as being one of Detroit’s most creative underground rap groups). Following these US shows Mic and his fellow band of indie MCs toured Europe (Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria) two years in a row. Opening for acts such as Afu-Ra, Guilty Simpson and Cali Agents.

After these intensive touring schedules Mic took a break from music and started a family. He has continued to release projects and has remained devoted to sharpening his craft. Today, he's in what he considers to be his “second prime”. He attributes this renaissance to his invention of “Dad Rhymes” and the help of his new squad Blxck Rxyxlty Ent. He is also a part of “Stereo Boyz” alongside Mixo and Huey Boombox.
